We attend their wine dinners. Excellent food pairings with featured wines. You can tell they put a lot of thought into this and the quality of the food is top notch. Affordable wines are featured so you can order if you want to enjoy them at home. Food : 5/5 | Service : 5/5 | Atmosphere : 5/5 … More
I came here with my partner, sister and brother in law earlier this month because I had a memory of this place as a child. The interior has old English decor (Irish to some) and my grandfather who lived a block away in a Victorian house seem to be the type to go here with my grandmother in the 1970’s. I wanted to like this place, however as soon as we were seated, the server seemed to be rushed and pushy towards us. Maybe that is the theme here and I didn’t know? We were after all only in Farmington for my fathers funeral at Heeneys. I ordered the Irish soda bread, since it seemed like a popular add on, given that this place is an Irish Pub, plus I wanted to try something my grandmother would have probably ordered. Been here a couple times a couple years apart. The beer seemed pricey the first time I went and the food was okay. This last time I went I wasn't really impressed either. Service was slow and the food just seems to be missing something. For example I got the fish and chips and it came with shoe string fries. Not really the right thing for that in my opinion because you need a hearty fry for dunking in the tarter sauce.
