Overall the brisket was good and the sides accompanied it well. It’s worth the trip into Kansas from Missouri, and expect a slight wait during busy times. The Texas toast and mac and cheese were the best parts. Brisket needed the sauce, and could have been a bit more flavorful to hold its own. Would recommend to experience KC BBQ but it has some work to do to get to that next level for brisket.
The food was fantastic. The beans were unique, but very flavorful, and the sauces were very good. I would have liked the sauce to have more spice than it did, but that's just a personal preference. It felt amazing outside when we went, so we were able to sit outside and enjoy the air while we ate. The line was really long, but it moved quickly and I'd say it was worth the wait. I'll stop by again the next time I'm in town!
We went a little before opening to beat the line. We ordered the Z Man and the Ribs, and Burnt ends dinner with mac and cheese and onion rings. The Z Man was perfect! We truly know what all the fuss is about. The onion rings, ribs, and bient ends were also great. I can't wait to go back again. They also sell their meat by the pound, and they some that are already cold for.your cooler to take with you.
