From start to finish this was an amazing experience. Especially to try it for the 1st time during restaurant week was a really big treat. The staff was amazing, the manager walked up and checked on us and had a conversation and the food...magnificent!! Thank you Thank you:)
One of my daughters told me that Blue Sushi (青い寿司) is her favorite Sushi restaurant in Kansas City. We met some friends at the restaurant for an early Sunday dinner. I love good sushi, but I was not prepared for the next level deliciousness that assaulted my taste buds! If you like spicy food, like I do, definitely order the Shishito Peppers. We devoured two plates of them. The Yellowtail Serrano was also spicy and delicious, however the Sashimi (刺身) slices were very thin and after two orders of them I was left wanting more. If sweet is more your style, try the Mango Crab Rangoon. My 6-year-old daughter ate an entire order on her own. My favorite Specialty Nigiri (握り 寿司) was the Cherry Bomb. The Roja from the Raw Sushi was also quite delicious. My favorite Raw Sushi (生寿司) was the Hot Popper. Both we and our friends agreed this was a favorite. This is absolutely the best sushi and sashimi you can find PERIOD. Quality of food combined with exceptional service and super cool decor makes this my new favorite. Ian is one of the best servers we've ever had and that includes the Michelin star restaurants we've been to. This guy is just so attentive and curious about what others like that is recommendations just hit the mark. Just ask for Ian and what his top five dishes are. Oh the drink menu is off the charts. The owners of this group get it and we'll be nationwide. I have to mention the speed of service and attentiveness again.
