This place is okay if you only had rudimentary introduction to Korean food and looking for ambience. It feels more like a place to go on date and have Korean rather than the type you go there because food is just that great. The food wasn't spicy at all even when it was in the description. Heavy on alcohol options and little for non drinkers, and tea selection is abysmal. I like the concept of hip restaurant that serves Korean food. I just wish the food was better, better beverage options for non drinkers, and more banchan.
I had booked a party of 10 at this place for a family event, and while being understaffed they went above and beyond with service, especially the bartender. We have been fortunate to live in South Korea and this is about as authentic as it can get. I go here once every two weeks and for Chicago you cannot beat the prices.
Bulgogi was dry but good flavor. Chicken wings were decent. A tad too saucey and too much breading though. The bonchon was good. Overall, not super impressed with the food but service and ambience were great, and it’s not too expensive. I would come back to try other things on the menu, hopefully they would be better.
