Jim's On Main

I stopped by Jim's a little past 8am on a weekday for breakfast, where I sat at the bar (only bar and booths, no tables) and ordered the corned beef hash with poached eggs and a side of home fries. I didn't have to wait very long to get my food and the staff were very friendly. I will say that while the food was good, it was nothing extraordinary in any way. The home fries only had a little crispiness to them, and the eggs were so so. I will say however that one of the eggs pictured was overcooked and had hardly any yolk. To make up for this they gave me two additional poached eggs on the side, which was very nice, however they were under done. So while I'm glad I ate here, I won't necessarily rush back. In my humble opinion the king of breakfast in Rochester is still Jines. PS: This place is CASH ONLY! They do have an ATM in the entrance, but it charges you $3 to make a withdrawal.

Best diner ever. I feel like i'm in the 80s again. I finally found an authentic delicious diner at affordable prices, just like it used to be in the good old days. Friendliest staff and good neighbors...litteraly a light warm tavern in today's dark world. Thank you for existing!

Stopped for breakfast and then a bit of snack while waiting for my car to get fixed. Was upfront with staff that I was waiting and got permission to hang for a bit. Super nice, great food, the coffee cake was to die for! Definitely recommend.
