Easily the best dining experience I've had in San Diego. While the food and drink was wonderful the true standout was the immaculate service of the staff. I really enjoyed our commis de débarrasseur I forget his name but he did an amazing job, extremely professional and a highlight of the meal. Each dish was described in great detail which was really fun. I was a little hesitant to get the wine pairing but it was well worth it! The sommelier was very passionate about the picks and gave a little lesson on each which was really fun. The food itself was surprisingly filling all kinds of wonderful flavors and textures. I believe it was 7 dishes in total. One member of our party requested gluten free options and they had great accommodations. Congrats on the Michelin star! So happy to see such wonderful dining in my home town of Carlsbad. Jun/22/22 Parking: Plenty of street parking nearby Dietary restrictions: They are accommodating of gluten free foods.
I took my boyfriend last night to celebrate his birthday and our anniversary. We enjoyed one of the best meals we’ve ever had. The decor is beautiful, the staff are genuinely friendly and helpful, and the food was just incredible. Each first bite we took caused us to drop our heads and mutter over how delicious it was. The dishes were gorgeous and well portioned. The tomate and the halibut dishes were melt in your mouth! A 4 course meal (technically 7 courses!) like this I would expect at least twice the price! The added touches like signed birthday and anniversary cards, as well as champagne toast starters, really made this a special evening. Thank you for the wonderful dining experience- we are counting down till we visit again!
Amazing. By far the best restaurant I’ve been to in San Diego. The meal was 4 courses with surprises in between. I felt satisfied and $90 a person is a very fair price for what we enjoyed! The dishes were some of the most beautiful I’ve seen in my life. My favorite part was the sticky rice mango and basil dessert. Our server (whose name I’m forgetting) had moved here from Japan to take this job. He was intelligent and professional, offering helpful wine suggestions and explaining the menu well! If you haven’t already, book a reservation!
