Jason's Deli

Last Friday, for the first time I dined in rather than using the drive-through. I was pleasantly surprised at how spacious and comfortable it is inside. The manager took my order, and was so very delightful and helpful that I'm tempted to make this a regular Friday experience for me and my granddaughter. I regret that I did not get the manager's name,so I can commend her specifically. Unfortunately she was not there this evening when I took my son who is visiting from his National Guard Duty on the Texas border. The food was good, but not nearly as hot, delicious, or well-prepared. The service was also lacking. We had to go back several times to get our order complete. The workers were very nice, but not as attentive or good as listeners as one would expect. My initial experience at this Cedar Hill location was so delightful, that I will try it again. If I can't get a re-creation of that first experience, I will probably just periodically drive-through. Vegetarian options: The zucchi

Very upset with tonight’s experience! I ordered online at 8:38pm. My order was supposed to be ready at 8:48pm. I called to let them know I was outside at 8:45pm. I waited and called back at 8:58pm and was told my order was just now being made. I waited another 20 minutes for my order to come out and it never did. I had to go inside and request a refund since I had been waiting 30 minutes already. I was asked if I called to let them know and I advised I did. Management said sorry and processed my return. As I was waiting for her to complete the transaction, an employee walked up with my order. I asked her so was my order ever made and she said yes it’s right here. I wasn’t offered anything for my inconvenience or for patiently waiting. I guess they will throw the $40 worth of food I ordered in the trash or eat it themselves. This was not a good example of customer service in my opinion. Update: Just called and was hung up on. Wonder who should I ask for when I call? If I can get through

Food was good as usual but the restaurant itself was not clean. I counted 12 tables that had not been cleared and cleaned when we came in. It looked like there was not enough workers on hand but the restaurant was not busy either. I took my three year old to the restroom and literally cleaned the toilet myself so he could use it. It was awful but I wasn’t surprised based on how the eating area looked. I’ve never had an experience like this at any Jason’s Deli before…and over the years we have eaten there hundreds if not thousands of times. I won’t be coming back to this one. ????
