Islands has been my favorite burger place for over a decade, but when you're paying $16-18 for burgers and fries it's hard to justify. Add a drink and it's a $21 meal. Still, good food, good drinks, and good service. I love Islands but it is just getting harder to justify, I know it's not their fault but for around the same price I could get a decent Italian, Asian, steak dinner or even a bison burger at The Counter. Decided to splurge this time, upgraded my fries to chilli cheese fries, got apps, and even desert (though their brownie is actually a good deal), and dinner for two came to $73. I use to visit Islands in college 3-4x a month now it's 3-4x a year. Oh, and their "rewards program" is really poor, little incentive to actually sign up or get me to come back more often.
We tried the Spinish and Artichoke dip appetizer, and it was amazing! Definitely try the onion rings! Amy was our server, and she was sweet, friendly, and anticipated our needs before we did. Great time.
I had a great experience at Islands Torrance! The staff here is awesome and of course the food was amazing. Whether you're coming by yourself to watch a game or you're bringing your family, Islands accommodates for both to give you an awesome experience. The manager Jeff took good care of me and I will definitely be coming back!
