Island Paradise

I ordered the shrimp and grits today because I Doordash part time and whenever I deliver from here the food smells delicious so I wanted to try them. Well I was so disappointed I wish I would've looked at my food before leaving the restaurant because I would've requested a refund. I had extremely more grits than shrimp, they gave me 6 tiny shrimp, not even medium shrimp smothered in I guess what was butter. They put it in a Styrofoam tray so by the time I got it home the butter leaked out of the container onto the napkins in the bag. I also ordered plantains they were extremely greasy. I got my husband 2 beef patties he said they was good so 1 point for that. I will not trust my nose over vision and taste ever again. I will only deliver from this place not eat.

I went to this restaurant and ordered some chicken soup, it had no flavor, the broth was very watery and it appeared not fresh as they had to put it in a small bit on the stove for a few mins . The place didn’t even appear clean. The other Jamaican restaurant at the end of the plaza by the gas station is where to go. I honestly don’t know how this place stays open as the food that I also ordered in the past was tasteless and I figured I would give them another try. SMH they have got to do better, it was a disgrace.

This is the worst Jamaican restaurant I’ve ever had. I order from Postmates twice from this place, and both times the food was disgusting. The first time I order, I order shrimp and grits..it was literally shrimp is a lot of butter, and grits with a lot of butter poured on top..not the regular shrimp and grits made with cream. The shrimp smelled so fishy, as if it had been sitting out ALL DAY. Today I order Shrimp curry. My rice was dry extremely dry, they didn’t put no carrots in the cabbage and they didn’t season the cabbage and they left the tail on the shrimp, the shrimp was dry..no curry sauce at all! Then I took a bite of the plantain to realize it was plantains mixed in with regular bananas, guys I’m allergic to bananas so my throat started to close. Plantain and banana are two different things, I’m allergic to banana not plantain, they should’ve said they mix their plantain with bananas. Good thing I had my medicine with me today, I could’ve died because of this restaurant. Don
