Il Fornello Italian Restaurant

It's good. The 3 stars is only because it's the same restaurant you can find a million times over in Rhode Island. Typical Americanized Italian comfort food. There's nothing here that's memorable but there's also nothing disappointing. When you want to eat with the elderly this is the place. Parking is ok unless the lot is full. Restaurant is clean. Decor is rustic and a little outdated. Food is good. Drinks, wines and cocktails aren't anything great. Service is alright. They were all miserable because they had a big party. Shouldn't be overwhelmed when all you have are 5 tables. And you certainly shouldn't let your customers sense it on you. Welcome to ignorant Rhode Island. Where everyone is rude but your veal parmesan is good.

Time to write (another) review of Il Fornello because it never stops being so perfect. I think we've had every dish, this time I had Salmon Carolina which is like a prize-winner of healthy food cooked deliciously. Always a pleasure to be here incuding the amazing service staff. I've been several times and the food is ALWAYS amazing!! Tastes like Grandma is in the kitchen.???????? Fabulous portions, attentive service & drinks, and the new outdoor patio are fantastic. One of my favorites? Fried squash flowers!! Parking: Lots available, and on street also. Dietary restrictions: One person asked about wine being in some of the dishes, and was told it could be left out. I didn't ask about dairy..
