Terrible. Not sure how they have 5 stars. I got the beef, which tasted of pure vinegar. I also got the sliced chicken which tasted overcooked and old. The fries were not hot and also tasted as though they were sitting out. The texture and temperature was inconsistent. The fried pickles were edible but nothing special, and definitely not made in house. They buy them frozen. This is NOT good bbq. Don’t not be fooled by the 5 stars like me. I really wanted to return what I purchased but it’s raining and didn’t want to take the drive back after the disappointment. This BBQ place is just not good. At all…
First time here. Waitress got a bit snotty because we told her that our unsweetened tea tasted awful and wanted water instead. Items we had: suicide dog, fries, sandwich, stew, salad with smoked chicken. Suicide dog is all my friend will order here. He loves it. Hubby had the sandwich with fries and stew. I had the salad with stew. Fries could have been cooked a little more. I liked the stew because I don't like mine chunky but hubby didn't. My salad with house made ranch was very good. Prices were very reasonable. Will give this place another shot.
Had not ate at Hudsons in 15 years after moving away. This place hasn't changed since i went there for the first time 30 years ago. The smoked meats still have that great smokey flavor and tender. The brunswick stew is some of the best I've ever eaten. You'll want to take some extra home. The atmosphere hasn't changed. The service is outstanding, courteous and the food comes quick. Hope to pass through the area again soon!
