Must visit while in Portland. The food is cooked with love and the best quality ingredients. Service is friendly and timely. Great wine selection. I had a wonderful time.
Higgins is the original farm-to-table restaurant in Portland. The food is great! We come here every once in a while for special occasions. The service is really good too, particularly if you measure by whether your water glass stays full. You will likely need a reservation, though you could get lucky and be seated without one. I recommend this place.
We came here for our wedding anniversary tonight and it was absolutely phenomenal. We started with mussels which were in an amazing ginger plum sauce that was light and delicious. The entrees (pictured in this review) were also to die for, and everything down to the food presentation was beyond my expectations. I got the Kakavia which I would highly recommend for anyone who enjoys seafood, and my husband got the Yucatán-style pork stew that had very tender meat. We will definitely be back!
