Hestia

Hestia is definitely a place meant for foodies. I can see why some people come here and have a truly 5 star experience. These dishes are unlike anything you’ve tried elsewhere in austin and are experimental in a way that will offer entertainment for the whole night. The service is also great and the staff really knows their food. All of those positives aside, I think that the focus on experimenting overshadows the satisfaction factor of food here. The dishes are obviously elevated with great ingredients, but the flavors are often too bizarre to really enjoy rather than just experience.

Just, wow. I recommend this place with every fiber of my being. I expected good, but this was great! The service was impeccable. The staff was extremely educated and helpful, while staying quietly attentive and patient. The food though, oh my! Creative, interesting, original and the tastes were out of this world. The snacks were packed with flavor and intriguing. The scallops in beef tallow were just too good, so we ordered a second round! This has been my favorite dining experience in Austin to date. I've been to so many places, high end, low end, low key, pop up, and everything in between. This one had it all. Ambiance, class, tasty libations, great music, wood fire smell, and a very interesting design. Drinks were on point, the food blew me away, and the service was exemplary. The care and love for what this team was doing was palpable. Kudos! I hope we can come back soon. To the staff, thank you for the evening!

Really stunning cuisine in a cool, unfussy space downtown. We did the omakase, and everything was incredible. The staff was fun, engaging and unpretentious. We were a little late getting seated for our reservation, but they went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The wine list is a standout, with tons of great old world selections that are tough to come by.
