Happy Buddha Kitchen 素缘

The stir-fried rice cakes are super good! I've been looking for a restaurant that can make it like this so I don't have to keep driving all the way to South El Monte for it. I also got the sweet and spicy fried tofu to get a whole different taste for the meal. Recently got the pomegranate juice and it was good! Haven't had any in a while. Greens juice also looks good too, person at the table next to mine said it was good, will try next visit.

Lemongrass chicken! Lemongrass chicken! Lemongrass chicken! Trust me. You’ll thank me later. This is definitely their must try dish if it’s your first time and only getting one item. If getting two items, then gotta add the bun bo hue. Personally, I like to sub in the wide egg noodles. I overheard some aunties saying how good it was and had to try it. Did not disappoint. Glad I heard them talking about it. Pleasant customer service. Waitress came by a few times to ask how we’re doing and added water for us. Definitely excellent service for the price point. On par with much more expensive restaurants. They seem to have a lot of people working for a relatively small restaurant.

Was looking for a restaurant with healthy, tasty, and vegetarian options. So happy I found Happy Buddha Kitchen. They will make eating more plant based diet so much easier. In Temple City Plaza next to Office Depot and CVS. Love the chill and wholesome ambiance and decor. Music selection was spot on. Like a lot of other people said, the restaurant was very clean. Staff was attentive and came by to check on us on a regular interval. Thai iced tea tasted like the Thai tea I tried in Thailand! Authentic. Super yummy and you can ask for oat milk or almond milk if you prefer. Steamed rice rolls were light and had crunchy egg rolls. Sauce went well with the rice rolls. Bun Bo hue was amazing! So much flavor. Dare say even better than the meat version. Will definitely be coming back soon!
