Hanlin Tea Room- Cupertino

Very nice quiet outdoor tables. The outdoor seating is very relaxing during mild weather, which is often the case in the area Not too busy weekday lunch time. Service was reasonably fast. We had a Taiwan beef soup noodle and a hot pot. Prices are a tiny bit above average. The food quality is decent. The flavors were outstanding but quite good. The noodle soup is clear and not oily. Some might like it thicker like Japanese ramen. The thin soup is fine by me. The hot pot seemed quite healthy. It was an enjoyable lunch experience in a mild afternoon outdoor.

Too bad the time we visited was not Mon-Fri lunch hour when they had lunch special—50% off for drink with entree order. We ordered pork intestine vermicelli and Chinese wine chicken rice. Both were really tasty and authentic. They don’t have too many seats, so you might have to come early if you don’t like waiting.

This is from my one experience dining here. The food is authentic, not as good as the real Taiwanese street food, but much better than the ones made by the chefs not originate from Taiwan. The food is fairly priced, in large portion, and fast served. Can’t complain.
