Hanamizuki is one of my favorite restaurants in Orlando. With such a wide variety to choose from, my personal favorites are the yakimeshi fried rice (only 5 bucks per order). My table also got the sukiyaki hotpot which can be split between two or more people. The hotpot comes with beef and an assortment of vegetables cooked in front of you and for just a few extra bucks you can add udon noodles too like I did. I’ve never been disappointed by Hanamizuki and they will continue getting my business as long as they are open!
Traditional Japanese restaurant that has lots of variety. I like that they stick to the classics and don't venture into fusion. The cooked dishes are done particularly well, but some of the sushi didn't taste fresh. My favorites were the nabeyaki udon, chawanmushi, tamago nigiri, eel nigiri, and tuna nigiri. Prices were reasonable. Service was friendly. The only odd thing is that they prefer calling ahead to make reservations even if the restaurant isn't full. Parking: There is a parking lot, but it can get very packed.
Walked in to an amazing experience. It's always a good sign to eat Japanese food where other Asians are eating it (I was the only non-Asian in the restaurant at the time), means it's authentic. Food was top knotch and will certainly be back. Service was quick and friendly. Do not go to a knockoff Japanese restaurant (Kobe), come here instead (if you can get in). You will not regret it. I had a simple Japanese meal (ramen, 1 sushi roll, some nagiri, and a rice ball) and it was the best Japanese meal I've ever had (and I have eaten ramen in at least 11 states, one day I'll go to Japan but not any time soon, sadly)
