Stopped by during labor day after our visit to stockyards! Place has a decent ambiance. We were promptly seated and were served chips and salsa. They also have a salsa station with multiple options. Habanero Salsa was a bomb! We ordered queso, veg fajitas, fajita bowl, Monterey jack Chicken and kids cheese quesadilla. Veg Fajita was decent, queso and Monterey jack was very good! Veg fajita was okay, it was overfilled with lettuce. I would loved to have more rice and beans! While we were having lunch, owner came and introduced himself and mentioned they bought the place less than two weeks ago and offered Sopapillas and cinnamon ice cream! The dessert was the best part of the lunch! They gave us two of them for party of 6!
We LOVE Amie the new GM. We used to go to Mexican Inn the Keller location 2-3 times a week. Not because of the food, mediocre, but because of Amie. If something was wrong she fixed it, be it poor service or food. When they just reopened we decided not to back because she wasn’t going to be there.We have been to Habanero’s twice in one week. I never step out of my box food wise. I had the coconut shrimp tacos and they were fabulous just like she said. Rod was great at the bar and very friendly. As long as Amie is there we will be regulars . Loved it!!!!
Friendly staff great service. Good food but lacking the flavor of TexMex and or Mexican food. Taste more like the stuff my xwife would make.
