The Cashier was Awesome & good at helping me pick my sides. It was my 1st time there. Everyone working greeted me even a cook. They were friendly and prompt at getting me taken care of in a timely manner. Everything was hot, fresh and good. I had chicken, greens, cole slaw & sweet potato pie. I smiled for the rest of my evening. I will definitely be returning.
My highway mowing crew decided almost unanimously to make this our dinner stop for the night. With world famous on the sign, we had to find out for ourselves. We were greeted and seated promptly! Our waitress had fun and took great care of us. The chicken was phenomenal! The spice is great and not too hot. Slaw and beans were delicious. Highly recommend the Chess and or Chocolate Chess pie! All in all a delightful experience, we'll definitely be back!
If you ever have the opportunity to try Gus's Fried Chicken.... DO IT! We first tried it in Memphis after a friend's suggestion, and it was SO delicious. The fried chicken has a slight kick to it, but it's not overwhelming. We were thrilled to find out there was one in St. Louis, and went last night.
