The service is pretty good, the chicken is good, but it was tougher/drier than expected, I would prefer that it was dripping with sauce. Literally best fried chicken I’ve had in while. It tastes like a home cooked meal and felt like a warm hug. My boyfriend and I got the 4 piece tender meal with the red beans and rice and coleslaw. For desert, we tried the sweet potato pie and the chess pie. Both were delicious and tasted homemade. Would definitely recommend and absolutely coming back ????
We had a great experience today at Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken. The parking lot is narrow with tight spots. Once you walk in, sit anywhere you like. Someone will come to the table and take your order. The food comes out right away. Not sure how they do it, but the chicken is light, fried to absolute perfection, not greasy and stays piping hot the entire time. I enjoyed a two piece white meat snack with a side of greens and potato salad. And my husband had a two piece dark meat, same sides. Great flavor. Would eat here again. Just a side note. On Astros game day, get there early. After the game was over, it got packed!
