The quality of the wings has gone down immensely. They're fatty and tough now. Very hard to chew. I got through eating four or five of them in my order before giving up and just eating the rice with the sauce on top. Keep in mind that I'm a returning customer over the past decade. After the new owners, they seemed to maintain their level of quality, but only for a while. If you're a lover of wings in Chicago, this was a destination spot. But recently, the jacked up prices combined with the wild drop in quality of the chicken too has taken Great Seas from a must-have to a probably pass.
Went in to pick up a phone order. Lady takes my payment and goes to the kitchen (I assume she went back there to get my food which was still being prepared but she didn't say a word about this) and never came back. Waited for a while and asked a different server to check on my food. He came right out with my order. Ever since the ownership changed the quality of the chicken wings have dropped drastically and the price definitely doesn't justify even the quantity. I felt sick while eating. I'm never coming back.
After visiting their establishment this past weekend I will never come back. Being a long time customer for over 15+ years never have I been charged an 18% gratuity for a party of 4. I know times are tough, but $100 for Chinese food when my bill should have been $70 is out of hand. Be warned that this is automatically added and no longer a choice when dining in.
