I was extremely disappointed with this place. We went to this restaurant several years ago, it was the best sul lung tang restaurant. But now the food is horrible. The soup is watered down, the meat is low quality, the kimchi is watered down, with no seasoning. Completely night and day. Im not sure if the owner changed within the years, but this place isn't what it use to be. Never going back again.
I actually don’t remember how long I’ve been coming here but well over a decade. This is my type of Korean food…I just love soups. Menu is simple with beef based soup and different type of meat option. Don’t bring your vegan or vegetarian friends here ????. The waitress/owner is lovely lady. Covid has been rough for them due to staff shortage so just be patient and understanding.
Cash Only. ATM on site (Big banks usually will cover your ATM fee, if any). Great place for traditional Korean food & service. If you’re unfamiliar with this, look it up on YouTube. You’ll get barley tea, not dirty water lmao at the other post. We found this place because it reminded us of the super popular restaurant in LA’s K-town (also cash only). Turns out, this is where the Cali owner started! Pretty much the same, albeit the flavors are a little different. I got the hot barley tea, mixed soup (brisket, liver, beef honeycomb), and tried the meat plate (brisket & tongue). The side dishes are great, especially the pickled radish. Here’s a pro tip: if you want the soup a little spicy and tangy, add the radish juice to the soup. This will add more flavor/seasoning (salt/spice) to your soup.
