This restaurant is a top-notch Italian joint. Went to dinner with my brother and both had an awesome meal and excellent service. Went back to get takeout a couple of times since we were in the area for the week and takeout was just as good as the sit down meal. On top of that, they gave us free dessert because they found out we were coming from a nearby hospital due to my son getting treatment for an emergency appendectomy. As a coincidence, the owner‘s wife works weekends as a nurse at the hospital we were staying at. Besides terrific, homemade food, this family-run restaurant is filled with wonderful human beings! We will be back the next time we’re anywhere near Albany.
Outstanding atmosphere, service, and food! My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary at Grappa '72. It was such an enjoyable experience. We have dined here a number of times and it's always very good. However, the staffs' effort that evening made us feel very special and well cared for. Thank you!
It was my first time coming here, I had heard great things and was excited to try it out. I made an online reservation for 7:30 the day prior for my partner's birthday dinner, but upon arriving, we were told we would have to wait at the bar and that our table was not ready yet. After over 10 minutes of waiting we were seated in the dining area and ordered our appetizer. The calamari came out quickly, but dry, like it had been sitting around for a while. This wasn’t a huge deal, and at least we had the marinara to save the flavor. Throughout the duration of our meal at least 5 different people were waiting on us, which is outrageous to me/not good service to a customer expecting a relaxed, sit down dinner without wondering who our waitress was. As I looked around the place I could see dust covering almost everything and crooked decorations on the walls. We spent about an hour and a half here, most of the time waiting on either our wine or the main courses to come out. Nearing the end of
