Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant

Attended for a wedding rehearsal dinner, I don't believe this establishment is prepared to handle large parties as on entry they already had the salads on the table waiting, open, before the party arrived. The party was placed in a frigid room which they had to be moved to another due to the heat being broken, understandable but to ask guests to take their salad and waters to the new room that's a no no. I gather that the bathrooms have not been cleaned for a while due to the dust on the urinals and stained rings in the unit. There was a prefix menu which made me confused as to why the food took so long to be brought out, long as in 2 hours, which they decided to present in to go containers. I ordered the grilled chicken, as illustrated in the photos, it was pretty much dehydrated dry. Broccoli was overcooked. Again, this was for A WEDDING REHEARSAL dinner. Went here with a group of people from work. The positive: $2 Tuesday drafts were good. We enjoyed our beers. Server was also a nice and really friendly person. He was also good about getting me a new steak when mine was overcooked. The downside: a few things missing from the menu. I wanted a sirloin, but they only had ribeye. I asked for medium, came back well done, garlic mashed potatoes completely overdone, chicken sliders dry as hell because of too much time in the fryer. Then when it came time for the bill, the server informed us that we had a minimum purchase required due to the size of our group. Given that all beers were 2 bucks, we didn't meet the threshold. Everyone at the table had an entree, everyone had at least one or two drinks, and 6 out of 8 ordered their own starters. What sealed the deal was the mouse that ran across the floor while we were trying to settle the bill. With all of the great restaurants in New Orleans, this gets a hard pass from me.

Excellent service and good food. They have a nice menu with a good variety to choose from, and the food came out as expected.
