Giovanni's Italian Restaurant

I moved to the area a month ago and someone recommended this place as the best Italian for those from up by NYC so I decided to try it. Got meat ravioli for dinner and steamed mussels in a clear sauce for appetizer. One thing to say first is that I never order mussels in a restaurant because nothing compares to how my aunt makes them and how my grandmother made them. But this restaurant is as close to how many family makes it as I’ve ever seen. They were delicious and really reminded me of our family dinners in Brooklyn. I will absolutely go there again. This place is truly authentic and I even talked to the owner for a moment before I picked up my food and he’s the real deal. So great to find this place as someone with an Italian family moving from the NJ/NYC area!

Giovanni’s was amazing! They don’t take reservations so go early or late because it’s a very small cozy restaurant. Great service, entire wait staff worked as a team to take care of us. Order the lobster ravioli, you will NOT regret it!!! I’m still dreaming of that dish! The Caesar salad was also great, perfectly dressed with lots of parm!

My family and I absolutely enjoyed our first experience here! The service and staff were great and OH MAN! The food was amazing as far as quality Italian food and made from scratch ingredients! My boyfriend is in love with this place so we will definitely be back! Highly recommend anyone to try them out.
