Georgia Boy

Atlanta is becoming a city of food ingenuity and for me this a must experience place you must try if you ever visit the city or live in it. After trying to secure our reservation for months and month we got in. And instead of me going around explaining everything I will let the pictures speaks for themselves. The lucky thing is we got to sit with the chef wife and that felt very special, always great to connect with some new people and listen about their interesting life. Amazing presentation for everything that was served to us in details. I loved that. The waiting room where I thought we were gone be sitting but ended having a secret restaurant within a restaurant was just amazing. I have never been afraid to try different thing and for me this was an amazing concept from the food and how it was prepared. I just loved it. Cheers, BN

I am hesitant to give such a low rating because I don’t want to dissuade creators and artists from fully giving themselves to something truly novel, which is exactly what Joey Ward has done with Georgia Boy. I love the space for creativity that tasting menus allow for, and have experienced many that have pushed the boundaries of taste and texture. That being said, I think critical feedback creates the opportunity for something better and it’s in that spirit that I write this review. First off, let me start with what was excellent: the theatrics, the presentation, the creativity and thoughtfulness of the experience were in some ways unmatched. Without spoiling any part of it, there are surprises and turns that made the dinner feel almost like performance art rather than a meal. Truly unique in this regard and to that I applaud Joey and the team and encourage them to continue. If you like tasting menus, go. 1000% go. We've been to tasting menus at world-renowned restaurants all over the world, and this place holds its own and then some. To give any more detail would rob you of the fun! Go! (PS Choosing the $100+ option on cost seems super silly as it is wayyyy more than $100 ???? but the night is truly special)
