Stale and hard bread. Broccoli rabe wasn’t cooked right, far too bitter and almost inedible. Rushed, slightly careless service. Was brought the wrong drink once and felt sped through. Just kind of a tacky place
We had a wonderful dinner at Gemma. The highlight was the atmosphere. We spent a relaxed two and a half hours and we were able to totally unwind. Lovely decor feels like stepping back in time at a classic NY Italian restaurant. Service was outstanding, the sommelier very charming. Highly recommend getting his input if you order wine. He came up with a delicious pick for us, the Canapone Santa Vittoria. Ordered the risotto (scrumptious) and the truffle gnocchi (daily special… also scrumptious). Got sticker shock at the bill, but I suppose that’s NY…
Beautiful ambiance, one of the most spacious restaurants in town. Dimly lit and prompt services. I've been here twice. The cocktails are quite something. The food is delicious however I ended up paying $40 for just a mock tail and a pasta dish.
