Froggy Bottom Pub

Excellent. Really good Chicken Pho. The búfalo wings were fantastic too. It was my first time there. I didn’t feel like drinking tonight but it seems they have really good beers as well. Just give it a try! It’s good.

We came here during a quick visit to DC on a Saturday afternoon. The pub food I ordered (Fish & chips) was very nice. Proper fish pieces were hand-battered and fried crisp. One of my kids had the PHÒ and it was unexpectedly wonderful. Simple noodles and meat but the broth were exceptionally good. Moses was the gentleman who served our food. I say he was also a 5-star server, quick, witty and nice. I would definitely like to come back when we are around.

At first glance, this looks like any bar/ restaurant in DC. The selections of fried edibles like hot wings, burgers, etc... seems to confirm this. And there is the long bar with Guinness on tap which are also familiar sights in so many other bars. Before you turn to exit to look for a more unique place, or take comfort with it's familiarity, look more closely at their menu. There is a section dedicated to Vietnamese dishes. We tried some and found them delicious! Vietnamese food at Froggy Bottom Pub? These words shouldn't be in the same sentence let alone in the same place. Located at the corner of K Street an 21st Street, this is worth the walk from either GW Metro or Farragut North Metro.
