The experience: My cousins and I came to Freshwater’s for the peach cobbler based on the reviews. 2 of us went inside to order and to wait on the rest of our party. Before the rest of the party could even come in, the owner instructed the hostess to lock the door and not let anyone in. They didn’t even want to let the rest of our party come in, even though she knew we were waiting for a few more. The owner was rude to the hostess and the poor girl was so flustered, her hands were shaking. She even apologized on the owner’s behalf. The peach cobbler: The peace cobbler was absolutely horrible. It was more peaches than cobbler and it had absolutely no flavor. I’ve had better peach cobbler from Shane’s Rib Shack. To be honest, I would even prefer Marie Callander’s peach cobbler over Freshwater’s. 3 of us threw it in the trash after the 1st bite. 1 of us had a burnt hard piece of unflavored dough. Maybe we came on a bad night…I don’t know. Maybe the owner was more concerned about the large

Good down home southern cooking with the best old fashion service. The style and atmosphere are simply gorgeous. The is made fresh to order. Try the fried catfish. Next time I'll have the BBQ ribs. ????

The owner and hostess was very friendly and professional. The food was delicious!!! The pork chops were seasoned well and fried to perfection. The collard greens were delicious and NOT drenched in vinegar. The candid yams were perfect and NOT mushy. Thank you for a wonderful meal experience!
