Food is excellent.. the guy taking the orders.. was the cook.. the cashier.. the janitor.. and the secretary.. over all it was ok.. there was a communication barrier.. as I was calling the food as it is on the menu and he had his own name for the things ..

Fred's Downtown Philly on Collins Street in Arlington has the best philly cheesesteak I have ever consumed. The dining area is huge with a ton of tables to eat your philly cheesesteak at. The associate behind the counter is the cashier, cook and manager all-in-one with excellent service. There are 22 different types of cheesesteak to choose from with some being the original Philly Cheesesteak (tender steak, sauteed onions and cheese), Pizza Cheesesteak (tender steak, sauteed onions, pizza sauce and cheese), Centercity Cheesesteak (tender steak, chicken breast, sauteed onions, and cheese) and Rocky Cheesesteak (tender steak, bacon, Italian sausage, sauteed onions, cheez whiz and white American cheese). For the sides you have a choice of fries, Cajun Fries, Philly Chips, Philly Cheesesteak Egg Roll, Buffalo Chicken Egg Roll, The Twinkie Egg Roll, Pizza Cheesesteak Egg Roll, Sweet Potato Fries, Onion Straws, Philly Toothpics, Spicy Mozz. This place should be your go to spot for Philly cheesesteaks and all things Philly! You can tell just from the bread that there’s something different about the joint!!! Just from the menu alone it seemed like there were 20 something different philly variations to choose from! The atmosphere of the environment alone is perfect. Anyone who complains about this spot brought their problems in from home because there isn’t anyway they’re upset about this sandwich. Try the Dr J if you’re having a bad day
