Fratelli's Pizza and Cafe

IMO hands down the best NY style pie in Pasco—and I have tried many. Definitely competition for Pinellas and Hillsborough, too. The owner had a 'sort of' local celebrity status in the Bronx.There are photos adorning the wall of him rubbing shoulders with Anthony Bourdain and Andrew Zimmerman. He is very proud of his Abruzzese heritage, as he should be. The crust is light and airy with good crunch, a little char, and a hint of flavor reminiscent of fermentation. The sauce is bright and inviting. I've had the Pizza Margherita, several NY style pies, and the Grandma pizza. It's excellent work and very reasonably priced. I cannot speak to the rest of the menu as I have not tried it; however, if the same level of dedication and integrity is applied to it, I speculate it is also delightful. For what it's worth: I was raised in a pizzeria, I have worked as a pizzaiolo many times over the decades, and even owned my own pizzeria. I have had their pizza since the day they opened it's fantastic. Just recently got spaghetti, stuffed shells and carbonara and it was the best. The owners are awesome and go above and beyond to make sure you are happy.

Italian American, Buffalo native here...I give it a 5 because it is the best pizza I have had in Florida so far. Back in Buffalo, we have a more doughy crust unlike the thin NYC crust. If you are a Buffalo transplant, I recommend the Sicilian Pizza for the thicker crust you will enjoy.
