Been going to this Fleming's since it was in it's original location at Stanford shopping center. Stopped by recently for social hour at the bar and had a glass of wine and shrimp tempura followed by the prime burger which is pretty thick & very good! It also comes with tasty fries. Allen and Kim were behind the bar. Both of them are the "Best" imo as we always have a great time with them.
Food was just okay. Meat cooked incorrectly, asked for medium rare and got medium. The meat quality tasted a little on the old side, marbling was none existing for my tomahawk. Mash potatoes were a little dry. Cream of spinach was watery, but the sauté mushrooms were delicious. Dessert was pretty good. We had the lava cake. Service was nice, provided suggestions which we took, and filled our drinks constantly. Why 3 stars??? The price. It had the food quality like Outback, with a Michelin star price. If it's atmosphere you're after, then this is a lovely spot, but really you're after the food in the end and the price doesn't justify it.
