***THE MOST OUTSTANDING SERVICE IVE EVER HAD IN A RESTAURANT!*** And the food is FANTASTIC!!!:) Have you ever walked into a restaurant and just felt soo comfortable and at home? That is FLAVORTOWN! I came here on a Thursday around 3 and everything was just great! And the place is so nicely decorated and put together! It was a group of us celebrating my birthday and my big move, so we ordered a lot of food. The portions were great! The owner made us feel so welcome! He took time from preparing to go orders and engaged us which was awesome!! The signature cocktails were so pretty. And I could tell that with each item on the menu, flavortown really takes there time to produce and plate each dish to make it perfect! Everyone dining in was having a good time! I was very excited to try a new soul food restaurant. The Decor is nice, the staff was very friendly, but unfortunately the food was not pleasing at all. The potato salad had far too much mustard, the greens had too much of a vinegary taste, and the wings were just was not seasoned well. The packaging was absolutely great, the place is clean, they're up to par as far as their containers and packaging of food, but the food needs to just be stepped up! They need to hire some really good Cooks. I think this could be a long lasting business, but the cooking is not good. I know real soul food and this just was not it. Our family supported them for lunch, and decided to support them again a few days later, to give them a fair chance, although it was a little better after sitting down to eat because the Atmosphere as pleasing, but unfortunately, the food once again, needs to be stepped up! The ambiance was great and food was delicious. Our server was patient and shared menu favorites with us. My friend and i tried so much and everything smacked!!! The owner and his wife Pauline both came over spoke and vibed with us. We will be back for brunch.
