Fishbone's St. Clair Shores

It was hard to try and find a suitable spot to celebrate my birthday in this climate of the pandemic. Everything is so scary and weird that trying to feel comfortable and relax poised a serious problem... But then it was this place. I had been to the one in Downtown Detroit and loved the scenery there but there something about this place I favor more. The ambience is just better. Our waiter was amazing even though he coming off a heavy losses at the casino, he treated my company like guest and not once did I want for anything. Even going so far as bringing us a pitcher of water because how much we drink. The alligator bites were to die for as usual and though they didn't have a whole lobster available for me to the order, the steak and lobster tail I did received was amazing! Perfect medium steak that I devoured happily. I definitely plan on coming back here to try their sushi and eventually get that whole lobster. Thanks for the wonderful birthday time!

Saturday 6/25/22 Everything was great until it came down to customer service! The two of us stopped by to grab a quick bite before an event we had to get to. Although our server didn’t check on us, we were willing to look past that, until the person I was dining with noticed her sandwich was pink. The first image is hers, and the second is mine. When the server finally came around to check on us, it was time to head to our event. So when she came, we pointed out that the sandwich was pink and to which she replied to us, “That’s not pink.” Now, I understand that everyone may not have the same point of view when it comes to the color wheel, but even the texture was not close to the same as mine. The person I was dining with reiterated many times that she didn’t have a problem paying for the sandwich, but the server stormed away to get our check. When she came back, we requested the manager. A safe bet in the Detroit area for fish and seafood lovers. Seafood gumbo, jambalaya and key lime pie are delicious. Spotless ample restaurant, nice ambiance, patio, huge aquarium. Super Sunday brunch and live music at dinner time on weekends.
