First Watch

First Watch is a wonderful franchise that I will continue to visit except NEVER AGAIN at the Bluemound Road location in Brookfield. The servers throughout the chain are professional, polite and make the dining experience so nice. Today I tried the wait list app. Worked fine. We live fifteen minutes away and when I arrived the wait list had been cancelled due to us arriving twenty-two minutes after initial request. I asked the host why such a short time period? He stated it was “corporate policy”. So I asked the best way to contact corporate with a constructive suggestion. Wow! An expression I won’t even describe. He took two menus to a table. Threw the eating utensils and napkin on top of the menus and said “Enjoy your meal”. Then paused glaring at me and said “if you stay”. We were shocked so we left and had a delightful meal at The Original Pancake House. So the First Watch Pewaukee location for us from now on.

Our waitress was very sweet and kind, but the food was... very bland and not at all what was advertised. I ordered an ice coffee that came topped with cold foam and there was no coffee in it. I had to add my husband's coffee to it to even resemble coffee. It was just milk product. :( I also ordered the harvest hash, which came with potatoes, kale, goat cheese, lemon arugula, mikes hot honey, and sweet potato. It was all white potato... I counted 2 small pieces of kale, no hot honey at all, no goat cheese, no lemon on the arugula, 3 undercooked (still raw) sweet potatoes. I'm upset I had to pay $14 for white potatoes. Very underwhelming and I am not happy with what I was served for paying $22 for my portion of the meal. The payment system also has issues. It seemed like a bad experience all around, minus the service from our waitress. Though she seemed very rushed. I won't be back. Unfortunate, as I've been to First Watch in Florida and Arizona and loved it each time. Maybe Oak Creek is

I really enjoy having breakfast here. The service and food are both excellent. I've tried both this location and the one in Oak Creek. While I liked the Oak Creek location marginally better I enjoyed both. Worth stopping by
