Food is decent and seems of a popular place based on how busy it was when I came during middle of the day on Saturday. Do note the service of a flat 10% regardless if you dine in or take out…pointing this out for full transparency. No need to tip and work to move away from tipping culture! For what was ordered (might try this place maybe someday though the area has better options): 1) The eggs and scramble itself was quite good. Though for my prosciutto addition for one of the orders - the choice of provolone cheese is an odd choice to add. For the salmon scramble, adding tzatziki sauce is very odd. Would have gone with hollandaise sauce. 2) The potatoes were overly herby and would have preferred them to be cooked on the skillet rather than boiled (and some were slightly undercooked). 3) The waffle tower was overpriced as it was a single waffle divided in quarters to make a stack. Slightly overdone I noticed. 4) Would have added more salmon to the scramble given the price of the dish.
Noticed this place due to the long line out the doors every weekend but don’t let that scare you - it moves relatively quickly and there’s only a couple of parties inside so you’ll be ordering before you know it! You order at the counter and then can sit anywhere that’s open - the back courtyard is very nice and relaxing, as it’s shielded from El Camino. The food was solid, though we want to try different things next time. The pastrami sandwich was a tad too salty though well-constructed, they forgot the avocado for our protein power (which is super healthy) and didn’t bring it out until we were basically done (had to ask twice), and the pancakes were very impressive and oh so fluffy but also a tad tough to cut? Nice service staff. We will be back!
There's so many pictures of delicious food at Fambrini's and after eating here, the food tasted as good as it looked. With that said, take note, this is a café meaning expect to order at the counter, long lines at times, and a self-seating/grab-your-own-utensils scene. I was a little disappointed that there was no drip coffee served on a Friday, and I wasn't really sure how I would order anything more (say a refill). The Biscoff pancakes, get them, even if you don't like Delta Airlines ;) Aside from the delicious topping, the pancakes were just made well. The Ko Ko breakfast sandwich was also nice with a delicious sauce but want very hot. The scrambled eggs with goat cheese was creamy and perfect on toast; the side of asparagus came drizzled with a delicious sauce and nicely spiced potatoes. I'd return to try the extensive offering of sandwiches and other menu items if the lines aren't too bad.
