Ellie Lou’s Brews and BBQ is a solid choice when you’re looking for good food with options for the whole family! Let me first start by saying there is an entire section on the website to alert you of food allergens in each item. As a family with severe food allergies, this is much appreciated! We had: -Loaded Baker with Chicken. Served exactly as described with a huge helping of chicken to top it off! -Pit Boss Nachos. Enough for a meal with leftovers. The nachos were delicious. BBQ Cobb Salad. Perfect when wanting a healthier option but still want to enjoy bbq. 2 item combo with green beans and Mac n cheese- meats, sides, and sauces were all good. Fries were good. Corn Muffins- Yum. Perfect size and exactly what I’m looking for in a corn muffin. We’ve also had their family meals when ordering for a larger crowd and you can’t go wrong when feeding lots of people! The family meals are an affordable and easy way to cater a get together.
I hate having to give a negative review for a restaurant???? I had such high hopes for this place. I had a craving for burnt ends. That had me searching for local BBQ spots. This place had pretty good review, so I thought that maybe it would be good enough to satisfy my craving. Um...not even close! Ordered carryout of 2 meat platters to the tune of $41+ with brisket, bone-in-chicken, and pulled pork. I honestly don't know where to begin. The brisket was gray and fatty. I turned it over and over, looking for a darkened bit somewhere. Big chunks of fat took over the majority of our double portion. With burnt ends and well cooked brisket, the fat pieces almost melt. There was no melting here. In fact, the meat was barely warm, making it just a terribly unsatisfying, inedible bite. The bone in chicken...look, I LOVE ME SOME CHARRED FOOD!!! This poor chicken had every bite of life literally cooked out of it. You know when it's an old piece of chicken and the meat doesn't look like meat
