Great food! Knowledgeable servers who were very attentive. Beautiful restaurant. We had the brussel sprouts and charcuterie for appetizers, with salmon and pepperdelle for the main course.
I have yet to have a bad meal or experience here at Ella in downtown Sacramento. Tonight, we went there to celebrate a girlfriend's birthday. I made reservations earlier in the week and I'm glad because it was busy on a Thursday evening. We enjoyed the assortment of fresh shucked oysters (3 different kinds), which were really clean. We then moved onto the Compressed Watermelon Beets w/Goat Cheese and the Caesar salad. The watermelon was really sweet and refreshing. Paired well with the beets and goat cheese. The Caesar was above par with the perfect amount of dressing. Entrees: Lobster Carbonara w/pancetta was rich and creamy delicious. The Porcini Halibut was airy yet creamy with truffle flavor. The fish was cooked perfectly and was flaky. Dessert: Sorbet assortment and Hazelnut chocolate w/bourbon ice cream. Both were delightful. Needless to say, the four of us were satisfied. We had one of the best meals ever at Ella for my girlfriend’s birthday celebration! The cocktails were amazing and we were thrilled with everything we ordered.
