I don't live in San Francisco and I come here 5 to 6 times a month. Pollo supremo is one of the best chicken spots in the Bay area, I typically spend 65-75 dollars every time I visit and I don't mind paying toll because it's so delicious. However, lately they're not consistent with the chicken. I've been a customer since 1984 when they open pollo supremo on the corner of 24st and in those days it was delicious you can taste every ingredient. Now some pieces are burnt when you order a lot of chicken or doesn't have as rich of flavor.
Incredible chicken and food all around. Dark meat and mojo garlic sauce are the best. Macaroni salad, black beans, yucca fries and sweet plantains are all fabulous. Was a life-time fan of the fried zucchini but the batter recipe seems to have changed recently in a direction that I’m not to fond of. Don’t mind that if ya can everything else is still magic.
