Only one waitress, delayed service and so many flies. Ordered a seafood molcajete and it only came with shrimp and a small amount of tilapia. It was good, but did not look like the picture on the menu. It was missing the clams, crab legs, nopales and every other seafood listed. We also had a chabela and michelada with shrimp. The shrimp was good but the cups were missing beer. (Seems like for $15 each). Won't be back.
One star for several reasons: - Very expensive, especially for the quality of food. - Terrible service. The waitress didn't have the best attitude, and she made eye contact with us several times and ignored us. It took forever to get what we asked for (such as an extra plate and the check). They also didn't even try to correct their mistake (see below). - The carnitas smelled and tasted like shrimp. When we asked whether the carnitas were cooked with shrimp, the waitress said she would ask and never came back, opting to instead avoid our table and stare at us from wherever she was. We had to ask again when paying to get our answer (they cook the carnitas on the same grill as the shrimp). * It's not just the shrimp flavor that was a problem; this could be really dangerous for people with a shrimp allergy!! Definitely do not recommend this place, there are so many other Mexican restaurants nearby that are better.
Nothing really stands out as exceptional. The chavelas were good, with a few large prawns on the rim. Other than that, I would say the food didn't strike me as noteworthy. Chips were a bit dry. The salsa had decent flavor. Friendly staff, would be one element for the plus column
