Some of the most amazing authentic Sonoran Mexican food. Located in homie downtown Mesa, it is a local staple almost a hundred years old. We both had the green chili Burros deep-fried with guacamole and sour cream. This is some of the best food with ever had. Clean Place. Excellent customer service and friendly servers. They earned all their points with us. Can't wait to go to the bar and try some more of the food! Feb 2022 - the bar is so quaint and retro. Brad the bartender was friendly and attentive. The burros were just as good if not better.
The times I've actually been able to eat here it's been poor to good but the real issue is their scheduled it's too unpredictable. Two weeks after labor day they still had a sign up stating they would open after Lador Day. I can't count the number of times I've tried to do dinner with friends here just to find out their closed, pretty sure they're closed more days out of the year than open.
So angry at throwing my money away at this place. Food mediocre at best. Waitress did not tell us about specials. No separate checks even for four people. Worst dining experience in a long time. Trading on their history for too long. Don't say nobody warned you.
