The chicken bacon sandwich with plant-based meat was great! The chicken itself seemed to be soy-based, and had a great texture. The plant-based bacon had a great smoky taste as well. As a vegetarian, I’m glad to have found a place with such great options!
Great food, both vegan and not. Chicken pesto on panini, unique and superb. It came with crispy, dilly slaw and pasta. Vegan protein substitute, also delicious. Beer broiled bratwurst with a mustard sauce and onions on a toasted roll with terrific potato salad and slaw on side. Perfect. And super friendly and funny owner. I'd definitely go back.
One thing unique about EBC is that they make equally amazing fried chicken as they do vegan food. I happen to love both. The spicy fried chicken sandwich and the fried tofu sandwiches are my favorite but everything on the menu is good. The salads are the best around. Takeout only, post-pandemic, which is perfect for my way home from work. Always a generous portion. A true gem on the west side.
