Finally tried this place after hearing people rave about it. After trying the pork and scallion dumplings, Mongolian beef and orange chicken, I’m wondering if I even had the right place. The dumplings were fine, but the dipping sauce seemed like just soy sauce and maybe a splash of vinegar? Didn’t really add much to the dish and no additional sauces came with the dumplings for takeout. 6/10. The Mongolian beef was pretty tasty with a good amount of spice, however it was mostly sautéed onions with a bit of beef. 7/10. The orange chicken was a bit of an abomination. I’ve never had orange chicken like that. It was almost like it was dredged in pancake or some other batter. It was not even the slightest bit crispy and when you tried to pick up a piece, the chicken came out of its soggy wrapping. I’m just not sure what went wrong here or if that’s just how they do it there. The sauce was tasty but I couldn’t get over the texture of the chicken (somehow overcooked inside and soggy on the out

Had the General Tso Chicken and it was terrible. The chicken was NOT crispy but more soggy with no spice. It did not have the sweet savory flavor. It had more of a tangy vinegar flavor to it. I was very disappointed. There are better places in DC for Chinese food (General Tso). Will not return. … More
