Sorry, I have to be honest. As a fellow Jamaican/foodie I've tried the restaurant about 5 times to see if it was the specific dish I was getting, but not a good representation of Jamaica. The food is underwhelming. The friend chicken is not good. Curry chicken is off. Rasta pasta is a hit or miss. Not the worse or best I had. The curry goat meat is not bad but it's something about their curry that leaves me nauseous. The oxtail was the best dish I had and I didn't desire it again. The worse dish I had was the chicken soup and omg the fish and chips. Disgusting! The fish tastes like rubber. Frozen fish is unacceptable! The fries we're drenched in oil. The final time i patronized this business my friend and I were sick for 3/4 days. It's safe to say that I will continue to make my trips across town to The Door Jamaican restaurant on Baisley blvd. I'm an extremely picky eater.. The type that would rather not eat at all than to eat something that isn't delicious. I take what i eat so seriously and for that reason i hardly leave reviews, but this one deserved it. The Oxtails and Rasta Pasta had me dancing with every single bite. Flavors, tenderness, subtle spice, everything on point. I'm so surprised because most of the jamaican resturants i've attemped have been kinda mediocre. But ive finally found one i can stick with faithfully. The chef deserves a tip fr. God bless him
Service and atmosphere is good I ordered the fry chicken curry goat gravy and rice n peas. THEY double fry the fry chicken super crispy and the meat was super dry. #lookscanbedeceiving. The curry goat gravy was good though.
