Dragon Express / Pho Vietnam Express

Worst Chinese food I’ve ever had. I was really hungry as well but after a few bites I quickly identified that something was wrong with the food.

Great combination of a Chinese and Vietnamese Cuisine. All with the always friendly service of the owners. The flavor is on point in both cuisines. I recommend the Hot and Sour soup and shrimp fried rice. And from the Vietnamese side the Pho is one of the best I have tried. They also have a hot ready to pick up food at front which it makes if convenience to take some home quick and hot. This is one of the restaurants that due to the location you would not expect to be this good. But pay them a visit and you'll b surprised on the flavors and attentive service. Their soup reminded me of a restaurant in San Francisco China Town.

I am only giving it four stars. because of the poor ambience. It is not the kind of restaurant that makes you want to sit back and enjoy conversation. But the food? It was the best Vietnamese I have ever had. The fish sauce was great. I had the pork vermicelli noodle dish and it was awesome. We came in with a party of six and they had every dish out on the table within 10 minutes of ordering. If I am ever in San Diego again, I will come back here.
