The doors to the restaurant were spoken in Spanish and rang out as people entered. It was bustling with Colombians and Latin Americans, all talking and laughing. The smell of Venezuelan coffee and Colombian empanadas filled the air. The waitstaff were attentive and spoke the languages of their patrons. The menu was extensive and featured items like chorizo empanadas and alfajores. The coffee was strong and the service was prompt. The restaurant was quite relaxing and the perfect place to enjoy a Colombian breakfast or dinner.

Donde Julio deserves every nice review they get. they're just nice people making good food. the portions are generous and the price is right. if you don't speak a lick of Spanish (like me) definitely order ahead on your phone. but, today I decided to order at the counter and they worked with me to get my order down if I had to take points off, it would only be for the cheese empanadas which are delicious and always sold out
Good Colombian food is hard to come by. This place actually blew me away with both the proportion and quality of the food. Ordered the bandeja for lunch and had more than enough for dinner. Will definitely order again.
Great homemade Colombian style food and super great service. Server Diana was super nice with our group. Tasty. I’ll come back in my next visit to Hartford. PS: try the Colombian burger, it’s awesome
