Secrets Bistro & Bar

Very rare can you find a fine dining Jamaican restarant let alone female owned. Pros. Decor From the decor, finishes and even the bar chairs were impeccable and high quality. Not only does it look and feel clean it smells even cleaner --Location-- Heart of downtown Hartford on Main St. Accessible on the street parking. --Customer Service-- Staff friendly and Attentive. --Food-- Plated and presented well and chicken was fresh and tasty. Cons. They have a bar but did not have an actual drink menu of mixed drinks to choose from. I would have liked more variety of entrees to choose from (beef, pork, fish) but only chicken dishes was being served. Overall experience 8/10 and future visits are in order!

Lovely restaurant with delicious Caribbean/ Jamaican cuisine. Staff is courteous. Definitely a date night or upscale restaurant for celebrations. I ordered takeout but I’ll be back to have a nice romantic dinner with my husband soon. Vegetarian options: I ordered the vegetarian Rasta pasta. Dietary restrictions: I ordered the curry chicken. I do not eat pork so there are options for vegetarians and ones that do not eat pork dishes.

I was told about Secrets from my cab driver and I was not disappointed. I called to get a little more details anthe owner was amazing! Beautiful spirit, she explained her vision and my daughter and I went the very next day. The food was amazing the place was decorated very nice. They were very accommodating. I highly recommend this place Vegetarian options: My daughter is a vegan and they had a vegan stew she really enjoyed.
