Doe's Eat Place

Steak was cooked perfectly. I wish it had more seasoning. The limp salad was not my favorite, not my cup of tea and the waiter did not tell us we could have had a regular salad with dressing. Had tamales as an appetizer. I personally do not like the red sauce tamales. My expectations were very high, considering it has been on TV.

Me and 3 coworkers came in for lunch at 12:10. Waitress took our drink and hamburger orders at 12:15. At 12:30, we asked the waitress "how are we were looking?" She said, "when they're done preparing it, I'll bring it out." We got our hamburgers at 12:40. Ate as fast as we could and got back to work late. Others came in after us, ate their food, and left before we ever got our food. On the plus side, the hamburgers were delicious! However, I'm not a trained speed eater like Joey Chestnut.

You can never go wrong with Doe’s! Best steaks in town. The setting gives an intimate “at home” feeling. The staff are friendly, hospitable, and welcoming. It makes the food that much better. This time we had the tamales w/chili, catfish dinner and the lemon cake (homemade by Maggie and it was just *chefs kiss*).
