Very glad I came. Our waiter was very friendly. They have a variety of choices on their menu, and the meat was tasty and flavorful. I’d suggest their brisket which is also flavorful. They also have a plethora of sauces that go well with anything you order. Overall this is my favorite barbecue in Milwaukee!
Did you know Doc's caters? Yes they do. We had them to cater our gathering last week and the barbecue, bakes beans, mac & cheese, buns and yes brisket was delicious. Oh yeah did I forget those pickles...just tasty. Now I wanted to give special recognition to our servers Matthew and Nora.. we'd met Nora when we went to Doc's to taste their food.and Nora was our waitress. She is so delightful. I love her smile and her " I got it" personality. So we asked for her to be present for our VIP event. Excellent service
I just wanted a quick bite, maybe a beer, as I walked from the River to the Schuster Mansion. Did I ever hit the jackpot! Doc's has more options than I would've ever guessed! Pages and pages of beverages, including a rotating menu on a flat screen that showed remaining keg levels! How cool is that?! ???? So many delicious-looking choices, and I had to try the Pistachio Cream Ale. Indeed! A wise choice! (I thought they were in MN, but the bartender informed me that they've also a location about a mile away! Lovely walk along the river, too.) So Doc's is apparently one of the "Great Bourbon Bars of America" - who knew? They had Heaven's Door, which I wanted to try, although I definitely prefer Scotch. I also had the soup of the day, Chicken Pot Pie, which was quite tasty. The bar service was great, couldn't have asked for better. Also an interesting art installation across the street, along the convention center, which is perfect for philosophical ponderings after a few beers.. or Bourbo
