DiCarlo's Pizza - Westerville

My husband and I waited several weeks after opening to try DiCarlo's pizza. We assumed it must be fantastic considering the hype and long wait times. We ordered ahead of time so we could pick up for dinner while we enjoyed wine and entertainment at Good Vibes Winery. When we opened the boxes (ordered a 6 pc as well as a 2 pc, both double pepperoni) I assumed they must have given us the take and bake option. But then we tasted it and found the crust was cooked. The crust was actually very good. And as a disclaimer we did not research enough to know what to expect with DiCarlo's Pizza. That it comes with uncooked toppings. These toppings were cold... the pepperoni as well as the cheese. If I had known, I likely would have tried it - to experience it and try to understand the draw for nostalgia for the people who grew up with this style of pizza. But I now know enough to realize I'll leave this pizza to them and to those who like their pizza toppings cold. I gave 2 stars because the crus

I was hesitant to try this pizza because I thought it sounded dumb and gross. I was wrong. It’s very good! It might not be the most aesthetically pleasing pie but it’s so good. Great crispy crust, awesome sauce, and tons of salty provolone cheese.

Had my first DiCarlo's Ohio Valley Pizza (Westerville, OH) today. It's a different experience. Cheese and w/pepperoni are your options. Crust is pretty thin (which I like). Cheese goes on at the end so it will be cold to melted, depending on how long you wait to eat. Order slices in pairs - six slices fit one box. You can take and bake for the same price. We were there on a Wednesday at 4:45 pm and the place was packed. Amazing! I heard someone say that they sell out every single day, so it's pretty popular. Didn't realize there were so many Ohio Valley folks here in Westerville. Ha! :-)
