The Desire Oysters Bar is more than just an oyster bar. They have a full range of local offerings from red beans and rice to shrimp poboys snd a full bar as well. We find the restaurant is nicely decorated, bright and lively. All of the food we have had is good and tasty. The service can vary greatly, sometimes good and other times not so good. Service is always friendly just not attentive at times. Vegetarian options: Some non meat and seafood dishes on the menu Dietary restrictions: Staff will work with you on any restrictions you make them aware of Parking: Paid parking at Royal Sonesta or other lots in the area Kid-friendliness: Totally kid friendly Wheelchair accessibility: Fully accessible
5/12: Popped in for a quick lunch. Ordered grilled oysters, alligator, and a small Cesar. Everything was tasty. Cesar had way too much dressing, I need to remember to ask for light dressing next time. Service was prompt and friendly
My daughter is obsessed with Alfredo pasta, and she said this was even better than the best pasta she had in Italy! My char-grilled oysters and wedge salad were also amazing! Highly recommend!
